Slow Response Time

There are a number of things that could be wrong if your new computer is running slowly. It could be because of a number of problems that could either relate to the hardware or the software that is or isn’t in the computer, the computer and its components may simply just be old.

RAM

One of the reasons why the computer may run slowly is low memory RAM card (Random Access Memory); the RAM card is the piece of hardware that allows multiple programs a once, for example if you where to have 2gb’s of RAM in your computer, the computer would be able to run process’that take up 2gb’s of memory. The more RAM in your computer means the more you can have running. The processor works along side the RAM to make the computer run faster and work as efficiently as possible. It could simply be the fact that the RAM and Processor in your computer could be very old. This could be easily overcome by simply upgrading the present RAM card to a higher memory, such as a 4GB RAM card and upgrading to a new processor like the Intel i5 Dual Core. With both of these components the computer should run faster.

Graphics Card

Another reason could be that the computer has a Graphics card that is old and low on memory, graphics cards usually tie in with a monitor, if you have a new graphics card and an old monitor (or the other way around); the monitor would not be able to support the new hardware. If you were to buy a new Graphics card like a Raedon RS which is a 4GB Graphics Card and buy an Acer S220HQLBrbd, this monitor supports the new graphics card making the computer graphics and display run faster and more efficiently.

Viruses

A very serious matter that could be the main cause for your slow response time problem might be the threat of virus that has invaded your computer. You could have probably gotten infected with viruses when you entered a website without the aid of Anti-virus software. Any website, download, pop-up or advertisement you clicked on would have infected the computer. Anti-virus software is a very serious and important piece of software you should have in your computer and should keep it up too date as much as possible. A very efficient anti-virus to have is Kaspersky; this anti-virus program scans the computer in the background, identifies and removes any threats to the computer. Viruses are a serious threat to the computer and any information that has been inputted anywhere on the computer.

Hard Drive

The Hard Drive could also be another reason why the computer has a slow response time. The Hard Drive could be filled and have no more space to install or save anything. A full hard drive can make the computer run slowly, to much data and files on a computer would make the computer respond very slowly and not as efficient. You can upgrade the present hard drive to a new more efficient hard drive with more memory to store data. A WD (Western Digital) 1TB SATA Hard Drive would be a very good choice for an upgrade.

Basic server and Workstation House Keeping

A reason your computer could be responding slowly could be due to the drive needing defragmenting. Disk defragmentation is the process of consolidating fragmented data on a volume so it will work more efficiently. Defraging your computer could increase its response time. A Hard drive cleanup could also improve your response times, there could be too much memory being taken up on the drive. You could solve this problem by removing any unwanted or unnecessary programs and files that are just sitting in your computer without being used. You could also use compression to make the files you have on your computer to make them a smaller data size thus making more room on your Hard drive and making the computer respond faster.

New Computer spec

If the upgrades to your computer do not make the response time of your computer faster than it may just be simpler to get a whole new computer system. You can either by a pre-made one that has nice specifications that you like or you can build one online with exactly what you want. But I would recommend just buying a pre-made computer and upgrading it when necessary. A gaming computer would be your best bet for solving the slow response times; gaming computers are made to be fast and highly responsive to optimize the gaming experience so it would be a perfect computer to have. I would suggest to chose the Infinity Level 10, which can be found under this address; http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Infinity_Level_10/

This gaming PC is a great computer, it is fast and highly responsive with its internal components. Here are some of the components that is in the computer system;

• Intel® Core™ i7-4820K Processor

• 16GB DDR3 Memory

• AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB Video

• Gigabyte X79 MB

• 2TB SATA-III Hard Drive

• Pioneer BDR-209DBK 16X Drive

• Thermaltake Level 10GT Case

• Corsair Raptor LH1 Evo Gaming Headset

With the high performance Intel Processor and the 16GB of RAM the response time and running of the computer is faster and more efficient than your previous computer that has been giving you problems. This computer can be upgraded and the components can be changed on the webpage that I have provided for you, although the price may go up.
