3G/4G


Mobile network is called 3G, this is the third version of the mobile device or communications technology that uses high speed broadband to suppost the internet access and multimedia applications. Where 4G is forth generation wireless, this will take place of 3G in broadband mobile communications. 3G/4G is wireless network for modern mobile phones, this type of network connection is faster than any other mobile network connection. With 3G/4G using the internet on your phone is slightly slower than Wi-Fi.

 

Wireless

Wireless is the connection from a computer or device to the internet, or another different type of network. Wireless is most commonly used in the connection from a Laptop or Desktop PC to the internet. Computers come equiped with capabilities for internet connection, this is called internet ready computer. Wireless was once a very rare connection to have on a device but now comes with every modern-day computer.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless networking technology that uses short wave radio frequencies to make mobile phones, computers and other electronic devices interact with eachother. Bluetooth is most commonly used in phones to pair with one another. Other devices that use Bluetooth connections are iPods and iPads, most computers today and cars. Where bluetooth was once used to send files from one phone to another it can now be used to exchange information with computers and even car radios.




NIC (Network Interface Cards)

A Network interface card is a card that slots into the motherboard on a computer to physically make the connection between the computer and the network cable this card must be first installed with a disc to the computer before the Network Interface Card can make the connection with the internet. Computers with out internet connection capabilities usually need this card to use the internet. Usually it is older computers that didnt come with internet ready access is the computers that need a Network Interface Card.
