Web Browser

A Web Browser is a program that allows you to view web pages on the internet, without web browsers people couldn't access the internet. Once you enter the URL in to the Web browsers search bar the browers converts it into an IP address and sends of the through the internet looking for the requested website.

Email

Email is short for Electronic Mail, emails are sent from one email account (Google.com) to another email account or the same (yahoo.com) email account. Email is used by everyone (who has access to the internet). You can attach files such as pictures or videos and send them through Email.

Games Software

Games software is the software that is contained inside a disc. This is the piece of software that is needed for a computer or games console to run and play the game. Games software can come in files that are stored on a desktop or on a disc. 

Office Applications

Graphics

Graphics are a piece of software that allows you to handle images and illustrations, it also allows the user to create their own images, graphics and illustrations from start. Examples of graphic software would be Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator CC. Most commonly used to create personal images, banners for websites, or even logos for a business.

PowerPoint

PowerPoint is software that allows you to make slideshow presentations. With PowerPoint the user can include as many slides as necessary, include pictures, small amounts of information and speaker notes. PowerPoint lets the user change font styles, size and colour. Each slide can be altered by adding backgrounds or changing colour. Most commonly used to create presentations for business meetings or presenting information in school/college.

Word Processing

Word Processors allow you to put information onto a word document and allows the user to format text through changing size, colour and style. Word Processors lets the user insert pictures either copied from the internet (or other source) or inserted from the users documents. Microsoft Word would be one example of a word processor.

Database

Databases a program that allows the user to create databases on the specific requirements they need. In databases you can find certain information, for example; the surname, date of birth between June and July. The database would help you find this specific information without any real hassle. An example of a database program would be Microsoft Access.

Spreadsheets

Spreadsheets is a piece of software were you can input text and number data into block called cells and put them in a proper order. In spreadsheets you can use what is called formula to find out the sum, average, the maximum and the minimum of a group of numbers. An Example of a spreadsheet program would be Microsoft Excel.
