Anti-Virus Software

Anti-virus software is software used to prevent, detect and remove malware such as computer viruses, spyware, Trojan horses and worms. Different anti-virus will provide a different way to proceed with the removal of the problem. Types of anti-virus programs are Kaspersky, Norton 360, McAfee or Windows Defender. Without the use of Anti-virus your computer could become infected with many problems at the click of the mouse.

Firewalls

A Firewall can either be software-based or hardware-based and is used to keep a network secure. Its primary objective is to control the incoming and outgoing network traffic by analyzing the data packets and determining whether it should be allowed through or not, based on a predetermined rule set. Firewalls are widely used by people; some using a home network, in a business or a school network.
